SW7 plans released!!!

The SW7 ride plans for Alton Towers in 2013 have finally been released! According to the plans, the ride is speculated to be a 195 metre high Eurofighter situated in X-Sector (Presumably on the old site of the Black Hole tent!) and might contain a "beyond vertical" drop, similar to SAW: The ride at Thorpe Park.

The ride looks like it interacts with themed objects and the plans show underground sections and a vertical lift hill.

The plans only show us a limited view of the ride, and many more surprises will be revealed to us later in the year hopefully!

Looks like the future holds some exciting times for Alton Towers!

New twitter and email account!

Posting the most up-to-date information!

@AltonAddict (Or if you would like to follow my personal account @Chrazycat)

The new 'Nemesis - What lies beneath?' has been named. The video posted by Alton Towers on their official YouTube channel, revealed the name as 'Nemesis - Sub Terra' or just 'Sub Terra'.
Unfortunately for us towers nerds, none of the ride details besides the name have been announced. We'll just have to wait and see...

Nemesis 2012 news!

Alton Towers announced a few days ago that more information regarding the new Nemesis themed 2012 attraction will be released at 18:18 today. I will be posting my reaction to the news at about 7pm, as I won't have Internet access at 6pm because I am out :/

Who's excited?

Wizarding world expansion!

It has just been announced about 20 minutes ago that the Wizarding world of Harry Potter will soon be arriving at Universal Studios Hollywood! The attractions that will be built there will be a bit more limited in California (Only the Hogwarts castle and Forbidden Journey) as it will be situated in the park and won't be a separate entity.

A reliable source has also informed us that the original WW will be extended. We have known for a while here at AA that Gringotts will be coming to Universal, but we were not sure of its location, but since the news of the Jaws closure, speculation has been growing that the two parks (Universal and islands of adventure) will be linked. I don't think this is true, as the other two attractions in Amity Cove (Disaster and Beetle Juice) are not going anywhere just yet, but it will be interesting to see news being reported in the next few weeks. We will be sure to keep you updated.
